Zoo Kids

Kids love zoos. And zoos bring the kid out in all of us. At Billabong Zoo, Port Macquarie, apart from the diversity of the wildlife we care for we have added extra attractions and activities just for kids.  Our children’s play area is a great place for mums, dads and grandparents to relax while the children use up some of their boundless energy. The all-day kangaroo and wallaby walk-in feeding and patting area is always a favourite place for kids. We have a quiet chalk activity area by the cafe alongside Blinky Bill and Leo the Lion car rides.  Of course the Up-Close Animal Personal Encounters provide a long lasting memory – children are allowed to get Up-close to Koalas, Penguins, Meerkats, Snakes, Red Pandas (14 years+) and Snow Leopards (16 years + ). Bookings are essential. What if it’s raining? No problems. The Zoo has been carefully designed so many of the Zoo Talks and presentations are under cover. The Zoo is also in Port Macquarie – bad weather doesn’t last long. So, while you are enjoying the reptiles in the Reptile House, or sitting undercover during the crocodile feeding, or in the Zoo cafe or Zoo shop the weather will have cleared and you can once again enjoy strolling through the beautiful gardens and see, hear and read about 80+ different species we have at the Zoo. If you are a local be sure to purchase an Annual Pass – the best value entertainment for kids – as there is always something new at Billabong Zoo. If you are looking for the perfect venue for a kids’ party be sure to check out our Kids Joey Party packages.
