Secondary School – SCAS SCHOOL EXCURSION – Year 7 Visit to Billabong ZOO

“… Year 7 Science students were treated to a day-long visit to Billabong Zoo:  Koala &Wildlife Park to study the classification of the amazing creatures that reside at the park. The students were guided through the park by very knowledgeable guides, who provided ample life histories for each of the animals on the tour… all students enjoyed close-up access to many of the animals. Highlights of the day included petting a dingo named Ernie, watching the curious meerkats while they were watching us, ring-side views for feeding Shrek, the enormous salt-water crocodile, a hands-on reptile show including lizards, snakes, and a young freshwater crocodile and hand-feeding the wallabies, wallaroos and kangaroos. It was a great day out… A lot was learned about these animals. Many students claimed they wanted to go back and visit the park again!”   St Columba Anglican School, Port Macquarie, NSW – School Excursion Y 7
