Snow Leopard  Photo Caption Competition

This month Billabong Zoo is focussing on the great conservation work the Snow Leopard Trust is doing in various countries where Snow Leopards live in the wild. As part of our conservation through education programme  we are launching our Snow Leopard awareness month with a photo caption competition – you can enter online and put your caption to this charming photograph taken at Billabong Zoo, Port Macquarie by Carole Grant – one of our regular photographic contributors. The winner will win a very special prize – a close-up personal encounter (for two) and feeding opportunity with our beautiful Snow Leopards at Billabong Zoo. Four runners-up will go into an end-of-year prize draw (details to be announced). As part of our support of the work of the Snow Leopard Trust we do encourage you to visit their website and in particular view some of their stunning videos of the rarely seen, shy and elusive Snow Leopards. The Zoo Shop at Billabong Zoo stocks a range of Snow Leopard Trust merchandise which directly helps the conservation work the Trust is undertaking.  We look forward to receiving your captions. Here’s one for starters “Elvis has left the building” – we are sure you can do better. Winner will be announced in early February 2017.

More about the Endangered Snow Leopards in future posts coming soon. For a brief introduction to the species you can view our entry and photos at www.billabongzoo.com.au
